Elisabeth Glab studied violin in her hometown of Lublin, Poland, at the Warsaw Academy of Music, and at the Paris Conservatory. She is a prize-winner at the Henryk Wieniawski Competition for Young Violinists in Lublin and the Chamber Music Competition in Belgrade.
Now living in France, she pursues a career as a chamber musician and soloist. In 1999, she was appointed principal violinist of the Orchestre National de France.
A member of Ensemble Musique Oblique (1988–2000), co-founder of the Klimt Quartet (2001–2005), and a member of the Castagneri Quartet (2005–2007), she performs extensively in prestigious concert halls and festivals worldwide
She demonstrates a great interest in contemporary music, creating and recording several important works by living composers: Pascal Zavaro, Jerzy Kornowicz, Guillaume Connesson, Nicolas Bacri, Philippe Hersant, Thierry Escaich.
