Together with the search for excellence in teaching, the École normale de musique de Paris is multiplying its initiatives to support its students in their professional development. It has thus formed numerous prestigious partnerships and has surrounded itself with a network of professionals in the sector, who are invited to follow the progress and career path of students on their way to becoming professional musicians.
Professional auditions
Every year, the École normale de musique de Paris organises private professional auditions. Students from the higher classes are presented to an audience of professionals from the sector : artistic agents, artistic directors of theatres and festivals, conductors and other potential recruiters.
Partnership with a concert agency
The Ecole normale de musique de Paris has established a partnership with the concert agency Phares and Yamaha, guaranteeing the laureates of the Artist Diploma in Piano a professional follow-up and concerts in the season following their graduation.
Captations
Every year the School organises the audiovisual recording of the Artist Diploma recitals in the Salle Cortot. The laureates have a recording of their performance, which can be used for applications to international competitions, recruitment or distribution to artistic agents.
Throughout the year, students also have the opportunity to make recordings in the Salle Cortot and in other rooms of the School in preparation for competitions.
Internships in orchestras
Partnerships with various professional orchestras (Orchestre Lamoureux, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Orchestre de Chambre Nouvelle Europe, etc.) enable the instrumentalists concerned to be hosted for immersion courses.
Professional rehearsal studio
A rehearsal studio equipped with a grand piano and soundproofing is also available to students at the home of one of the school’s partners, for recording or running a program.
