Your office, run by students, for students!
The Student Office is dedicated to developing student life at the École normale.
It is a place for sharing ideas and suggestions, and acts as a link between students and the administration.
A number of events are organised there throughout the year (breakfasts, museum visits, ensemble training, etc.).
Its mission includes, amongst other things:
- assisting with administrative procedures (visas, residence permits, CAF/APL, etc.)
- setting up and developing the DIAPASON programme (ensemble training within the School)
- organising a student mentoring scheme
- organising events, social evenings, etc.
- supporting students with career integration (putting students in touch with alumni, helping them with career choices, etc.)
- reviving the alumni network

Mentoring Scheme
You’re no doubt familiar with the challenges of arriving in a new country and starting higher education.
This year, we’ve decided to provide better support for new students during this transition, and we need your help! You’re in the best position to answer their questions and help them settle into the École normale de musique de Paris!
After admissions, and during the pre-term period, we will pair a student from the École normale de musique de Paris with a new student to help them settle in at the School and in Paris.
The students paired together will have at least one language in common.
Their tasks will be as follows:
- Welcoming new students
- Tour of the École normale de musique de Paris
- Explaining how classes work
- Helping the new student settle in
Don’t worry, the Students’ Union will be there to help you and answer any questions you may have.
