Academy and Masterclasses – February 6–8, 2027
The École Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot, the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, the Liszt Institute in Paris, and the association Sur les pas de Liszt are launching the first edition of the International Piano Academy – Liszt.
Designed for young pianists pursuing a professional career, this academy offers an exceptional opportunity to work with five internationally renowned pianists, brought together around the work and legacy of Franz Liszt:
Cyprien Katsaris, Gábor Farkas (Rector of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest), Pierre Réach, Suzana Bartal, and Denis Pascal.
During three days, selected participants will benefit from several working sessions with different professors, allowing them to explore their interpretations through complementary artistic and pedagogical approaches, rooted in the greatest European piano traditions.
The masterclasses will take place in public at the prestigious Salle Cortot, offering participants a unique opportunity to perform in one of Paris’s most iconic concert halls, located in the heart of the city.
At the end of the Academy, several pianists will be selected by the professors to participate in the closing concert on February 8, 2027, at Salle Cortot. This will be a rare opportunity to perform in one of the most emblematic venues of Paris’s musical life, in front of an audience of music lovers and professionals.
Applications are open to advanced-level students and young artists preparing for a professional career.
