Shani Diluka is opening a new class!

Newly appointed as a piano professor at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, internationally renowned pianist Shani Diluka is launching a Soloist/Advanced Class in solo piano and chamber music, limited to 10-12 students. She explains:

“I am very happy and moved to announce my appointment as Professor of the Soloist/Advanced Studies Class, and the creation of a new higher education program at the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot.

Classes will be held once a month and will be combined with concert series and collaborations with leading international institutions to help students transition into professional life.

Places are limited to just 10-12 students in solo piano and chamber music.

This class is designed as a space for transmission, reflection on interpretation, and in-depth study of the standard repertoire.” It follows in the footsteps of the legendary Alfred Cortot, Jacques Thibaud, and Pablo Casals, as well as the teaching I was fortunate enough to receive from great masters such as Leon Fleisher, Alfred Brendel, Elisabeth Leonskaja, and Valentin Erben of the Alban Berg Quartet. It will also be informed by my reflections as a programmer at the Théâtre du Châtelet, my exchanges with the Gautier Capuçon Foundation, the partnership with the European Music Centre and Jorge Chaminé, and the development of recording projects through my connection with Warner Classics.

Many thanks to Murielle Hurelle and Marc-Antoine Pingeon for their trust.

Applications are now open, with selection by video audition before June 28 (a Master’s or Artist Diploma program is available for those who wish to pursue it).”
