In a world where digital promotion and knowledge of professional networks are essential for building a career, the École Normale de Musique de Paris (ENMP) has partnered with Vialma and La Lettre du musicien to launch a unique professional development program for young musicians at the beginning of their careers: the Digital Chair.

This training program is structured into three modules:

• Digital models and stakeholders: understanding the music value chain and the key trends in the industry.
• Building your digital profile: developing your image and story, and learning how to promote them on social media and streaming platforms.
• Becoming a “360° artist”: developing a long-term strategic vision for your career by mastering your image, your music, and your sources of income.

The program also includes company visits, roundtables with music professionals, meetings with artist-rights experts, and a multimedia platform to showcase participants’ projects—key opportunities for any young musician.

NEW FORMAT

For 2025, ENMP is reinventing the Digital Chair’s format to encourage exchanges between students and guest speakers while adapting to participants’ expectations.

The Chair is divided into two tracks:

• Core track: integrated into the Artist Diploma program (doctoral level), allowing over 150 advanced musicians to attend this training at no additional cost.
• Chair track: consisting of 15 in-depth sessions with 30 professionals, accessible by application to ENMP students and those from partner institutions. Students are selected based on the quality of their professional project, which they will develop throughout the sessions by addressing concrete challenges.

2025–2026 LAUREATES

At the end of the year, the Chair laureates will be selected and will benefit from:

• Personalized support: monthly meetings and mentorship to expand their network and seize professional opportunities.
• Access to Vialma and La Lettre du musicien’s network: including agents, A&R, programmers, and more.
• A dedicated page on ENMP’s streaming platform: featuring an interview, playlist, and contact details.
• Additional partner prizes, such as a digital kit (photoshoot, recording session, website), invitations to events, support for grant applications and CV editing, or digital advertising credits.
