DUO BERLINSKAYA ANCELLE

Duo BERLINSKAYA-ANCELLE
Présentation

Both born into families of renowned performers and both accomplished soloists, Ludmila Berlinskaia and Arthur Ancelle form a duo defined by perfect musical harmony. With their onstage energy, original programs, innovative concert formats, and close connection with the audience, they aim to elevate the piano duo to a status equal to that of other chamber music ensembles.

In a short time, the duo has built a rich repertoire for two pianos and four hands, which they perform in some of the most prestigious venues: Philharmonie de Paris, Auditorium of Radio France, Salle Gaveau, the Philharmonic Halls of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Zaryadye Hall… They are also regular guests at major festivals, such as the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, the December Nights Festival in Moscow, and the Tokyo Spring Festival.

They collaborate with renowned orchestras, including the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orchestre National d’Île-de-France, under the baton of conductors from all generations: Nikolai Alexeev, Arie Van Beek, Vladimir Ponkin, Dmitry Liss, Vahan Mardirossian, Jader Bignamini, Georg Köhler, Youri Medianik, Lucie Leguay, Rebecca Tong…

With a prolific recording career as a duo, soloists, and chamber musicians, Ludmila Berlinskaia and Arthur Ancelle are also the artistic directors of the Rungis Piano-Piano Festival, entirely devoted to the world of two pianos and four hands. They now lead a new class at the École Normale de Musique de Paris, fully dedicated to piano duos.
