Mezzo-Soprano<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Keller began her vocal studies at the Strasbourg Conservatoire, where she was awarded First Prizes in Voice and Lyric Art, as well as a Chamber Music Prize in Baroque repertoire. Simultaneously, she pursued studies in English and German at the University of Strasbourg. She later joined the Paris Opera School, where she studied with Hans Hotter and Denise Dupleix. During this period, she performed in numerous productions at the Paris Opera, the Op\u00e9ra Comique, and various other French and international theatres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Keller\u2019s many roles, highlights include Concepci\u00f3n (L\u2019Heure Espagnole<\/em>), which she performed in Toulouse under the baton of Michel Plasson, at the Op\u00e9ra Comique, and at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es; Nicklausse (Les Contes d\u2019Hoffmann<\/em>), Zerlina (Don Giovanni<\/em>), Si\u00e9bel (Faust<\/em> by Gounod), the title role in Mignon<\/em> by Ambroise Thomas, Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro<\/em>), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus<\/em>), Dryade (Ariadne auf Naxos<\/em>), Mallika (Lakm\u00e9<\/em>, alongside Natalie Dessay), Tisbe (La Cenerentola<\/em>), Dorabella (Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em>), and Marie de l\u2019Incarnation (Dialogues des Carm\u00e9lites<\/em>). She has worked regularly with renowned conductors including Michel Plasson, Armin Jordan, Marek Janowski, Alain Lombard, Paul Ethuin, and Simon Rattle. A frequent guest at the Op\u00e9ra Bastille, she has appeared in Katia Kabanova<\/em>, The Queen of Spades<\/em>, Adriana Lecouvreur<\/em>, Madama Butterfly<\/em>, and Lucia di Lammermoor<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She took part in the production of La Vierge<\/em> by Massenet at the Saint-\u00c9tienne Festival, which was recorded, and received great acclaim for her performance in Nino Rota\u2019s Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra de Nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was invited to the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Ch\u00e2telet for Jan\u00e1\u010dek\u2019s Jen\u016ffa<\/em> and for the world premiere of 60e Parall\u00e8le<\/em> by Philippe Manoury. She later sang the role of Annio in La Clemenza di Tito<\/em> in Rennes and Lucretia in Britten\u2019s The Rape of Lucretia<\/em> at the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Tours. She was invited by the Op\u00e9ra de Lyon, where she notably reprised the role of Concepci\u00f3n in L\u2019Heure Espagnole<\/em>. In Nancy, she participated in the world premiere of Un Tango pour Monsieur Lautrec<\/em> by George Zulueta and performed the role of the Cook in The Nightingale<\/em> by Stravinsky at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Arts in Rouen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She made her debut as Charlotte in Werther<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra de Metz to great acclaim, as Genevi\u00e8ve in Pell\u00e9as et M\u00e9lisande<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra de Rennes and the Teatro Comunale in Ferrara (under Marc Minkowski), Jen\u016ffa<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra de Nancy, V\u00e9ronique<\/em> by Messager at the Op\u00e9ra de Lausanne, Juliette ou La Cl\u00e9 des Songes<\/em> by Martin\u016f at the Paris Opera, and the title role in La Belle H\u00e9l\u00e8ne<\/em> at the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Tours. She has sung Verdi\u2019s Requiem<\/em> at Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Mogador and the title role in Carmen<\/em> at the Baalbek Festival, the Third Lady in The Magic Flute<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra de Marseille, Diane in Les Aventures du Roi Pausole<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra Comique, and Flora in La Traviata<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra Bastille. In June 2009, she portrayed Madame d\u2019\u00c9pinay in Reynaldo Hahn\u2019s Mozart<\/em> at the Spoleto Festival, in a production by Pier Luigi Pizzi, and took part in the recording of Le C\u0153ur du Moulin<\/em> by D\u00e9odat de S\u00e9verac with the Orchestre Symphonique de Tours (conducted by Jean-Yves Ossonce), which received several awards, including a Diapason d\u2019Or<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2010, at the Op\u00e9ra Bastille, Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Keller appeared in Puccini\u2019s Il Trittico<\/em> (Suor Angelica<\/em> and Gianni Schicchi<\/em>) under Philippe Jordan, as well as in Lulu<\/em> and The Bartered Bride<\/em> at the Op\u00e9ra Garnier, where she also gave a recital for young audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Keller frequently performs in recital, focusing on French m\u00e9lodie and German Lieder. She performed Das Lied von der Erde<\/em> under Cyril Diederich at La Filature in Mulhouse and at the Quercy-Saint-C\u00e9r\u00e9 Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She will make her debut at the Aix-en-Provence Festival in July 2025 in Louise<\/em> by Gustave Charpentier, with a revival at the Op\u00e9ra de Lyon in January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marie-Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Keller is a voice professor at the \u00c9cole Normale de Musique de Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She previously taught at the Montb\u00e9liard Conservatoire (2012\u20132019), and from 2007 to 2018, she also taught \u201cthe singer\u2019s physical work\u201d and French diction at the Opera Studio of the Op\u00e9ra National du Rhin. Since 2017, she has participated annually in the masterclasses of the French Institute in Kyoto, as part of the Acad\u00e9mie de musique fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She regularly gives vocal masterclasses in France and abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
