From Scarlatti to Chopin, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Debussy, Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff, she seeks above all a sense of <strong>human truth, inner intensity and expressive freedom<\/strong>\u2014qualities that can only be approached through the experience of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An <strong>independent and distinctive musician<\/strong>, she has gradually built a free and demanding discography, remaining faithful to the composers who have long shaped her musical world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her artistic approach places particular emphasis on the inner time required for musical work, freedom of interpretation and a relationship to performance in which expressive intensity emerges from fidelity to the score rather than from the pursuit of effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For her, the <strong>concert<\/strong> remains an essential moment, when music fully comes to life through the living and sensitive connection created with the audience. Her playing, praised for its inner intensity and richness of colour, seeks less to captivate than to create a lasting emotion, one that remains in the listener\u2019s memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trained at the <strong>Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique de Paris<\/strong> in the class of Ventsislav Yankoff, where she was awarded a <strong>First Prize in Piano and Chamber Music<\/strong>, she also studied with Oxana Yablonskaya at the Juilliard School in New York and benefited from the guidance of Vladimir Nielsen, Nadia Tagrine and Germaine Mounier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A prizewinner and finalist in several international competitions, she has performed as a soloist and with orchestras in numerous prestigious venues across Europe, the United States and Japan, including <strong>Carnegie Hall<\/strong> in New York, <strong>Salle Gaveau<\/strong>, <strong>Salle Cortot<\/strong>, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l\u2019Ath\u00e9n\u00e9e in Paris, the <strong>Mozarteum<\/strong> in Salzburg and <strong>Victoria Hall<\/strong> in Geneva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her recording of <strong>Chopin\u2019s Twenty-Four \u00c9tudes<\/strong>, praised by <strong>Harold C. Schonberg<\/strong> in <em>The New York Times<\/em>, was selected by <em>Gramophone<\/em> magazine among the major recordings of this work released over the past 90 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her discography has received regular acclaim from the musical press: <strong>5 Diapasons<\/strong> for her complete recording of Chopin\u2019s <em>Sonatas<\/em>; a <strong>Opus d\u2019Or<\/strong> and <strong>5 stars from Classica<\/strong> for her Debussy album; the title of <strong>\u201cMaestro\u201d<\/strong> from <em>PIANISTE<\/em> magazine for her Schumann-Liszt double album; and a <strong>\u201cClic\u201d<\/strong> from <em>ClassiqueNews<\/em> for her Prokofiev album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since 2010, V\u00e9ronique Bonnecaze has held a <strong>piano teaching position at the \u00c9cole Normale de Musique de Paris<\/strong>. She also served as <strong>Director of the lunchtime concerts at Salle Cortot<\/strong> from 2012 to 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She is regularly invited to give <strong>masterclasses in France and Japan<\/strong> and serves on the juries of international competitions.
