The wind department offers a complete range of lessons for learning the flute, oboe, clarinet, horn, trumpet, and trombone with prestigious teachers.

Each level has its own set of complementary teaching units, either mandatory or optional, depending on the course of study chosen.

Artist Diploma

(3e Cycle Supérieur)

TEACHING UNITS

  • Individual instrument lessons
  • Piccolo workshop
    This free complementary course of initiation or improvement is intended for students enrolled in the Artist Diploma course. The courses will take place from January to the end of March (30 minutes per week per student) and will be taught by Pierre Monty. The dates and conditions of enrolment will be posted during the first term.
  • Flute ensemble
    Directed by Guy Angelloz
    This complementary activity begins in the 2nd quarter. The ensemble will perform in concert at Salle Cortot.
  • Bass clarinet initiation workshop. 
  • Classes will take place from January to the end of March (30 minutes per week per student) and will be taught by Jean-Marc Volta. Dates and registration procedures will be posted during the first term.
  • Clarinet ensemble led by Gilles Clermont
    This free complementary activity starts in the 2nd term. The ensemble will perform in concert at the Salle Cortot
  • Career management workshop.
    This workshop consists of 5 sessions from October to March. The program of the sessions consists mainly of case studies. It covers the following topics: legal and social status of the professional musician, contracts, writing CVs and professional promotion, specificities of the actors in the musical world, search for patronage.

Advanced class

The advanced class is a professionalization cycle lasting from 1 to 3 years.

It is accessible to students who have completed the 3rd cycle of the institution (artist diploma) or, for new students, by audition and presentation of a CV.
