This class is mainly designed to train pianists to accompany singers and to prepare them for the study of operatic roles, but also for reading techniques (polyphonic or orchestral).
In addition to high-level piano skills, this training includes knowledge of voices and the operatic repertoire, specific accompaniment techniques (transposition, choral and orchestral reduction, sight-reading), ensemble conducting and diction.
The vocal conducting class is open to pianists with a level corresponding to the 2nd year of the 2nd cycle of piano studies and with sufficient knowledge of solfeggio and harmonic analysis.
Each level has its own set of complementary teaching units, which may be mandatory or optional, depending on the course of study chosen. Equivalence of studies may be granted.
